27 June 2026-
Melamism is to embrace the comprehensive meaning of the Qur'anic chapter Surah Al-'Asr (Wal-'Asr) and to become a contemporary human being who lives in harmony with the spirit of the age.
-
Melamism is founded on loving God rather than fearing Him.
-
Melamism is to be like a rose and never become a thorn in place of a rose.
-
Melamism rejects all forms of imitation and dogmatic sectarianism, choosing instead to walk the path of contemporary, rational, and positive science.
-
Melamism is the ability to think universally, embracing and loving all people regardless of religion, language, denomination, or ideology.
-
Melamism, in accordance with the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) understanding of Wahdat al-Wujud (the Unity of Being), does not discriminate between women and men.
-
In its simplest expression, Melamism is "to look upon the entire universe with a single eye."
Those who embody the morals of God, reflect His Divine Attributes, and follow the path of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) represent the noble qualities of the Melamis as exemplary human beings.
a. As citizens of the Republic of Türkiye living in step with the modern age, Melamis take pride in respecting the Constitution and laws of the Republic, faithfully fulfilling their civic responsibilities, and, when necessary, sacrificing themselves for their country.
b. Melamis willingly adopt and practice the principles of modern dress and appearance envisioned by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's reforms.
c. Melamis believe that the true spirit and justice of Islamic law are reflected through the reforms introduced by Atatürk.
d. In every environment, the gatherings of Melamis are open and transparent. Their conversations focus solely on the love of God, and they joyfully recite hymns (ilahis) that express longing for the Divine and spiritual love.
e. The conversations of Melamis revolve around the essence of Sufism and, beyond that, the manifestation of Tawhid (Divine Unity) together with the stages (Maratib) of Wahdat al-Wujud (the Unity of Being).
Everyone is welcome to attend these gatherings, and the doors of their associations are open to all. Melamis do not define spirituality solely through the outward forms of ritual worship.
